Jim Chapman's Incontinentals Is a four-piece vocal/instrumental group that specializes in music from the 50's and 60's, with a few newer tunes tossed in just because they like them. Jim Chapman, Bill Boyington, Bill Pigram and Carlyn Chapman have been playing music together in various combinations for the past four decades and they are professionals in every way.
Collectively, they spent more than one hundred years "on the road" in various groups, and they have the kind of polish you can only get from thousands of nights entertaining in venues across Canada and the United States, and appearing with some of the biggest names in the business.
Instrumentally, the group features a standard lineup of guitar, bass, keyboard and drums, but it is vocally where the Incontinentals really shine. With four strong lead singers and a knack for singing harmony together, they create a trademark vocal sound that is crisp, clean and exciting.
Their repertoire includes hits from Benda Lee, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Johnny Rivers, Neil Diamond, Gordon Lightfoot, Mark Cohn, The Beatles, Searchers, Beau Brummels, Boxtops, Rolling Stones, Shirelles, Crystals, Springfields, Beachboys, Bobby Fuller Four, Drifters, Dave Clark Five, Left Banke, and many, many more.
Truly talented singers, solid instrumentals, inventive arrangements, a knack for finding the right songs and a polished, professional presentation are what set the Incontinentals apart from the crowd. Hear them once, and you'll want to hear them again, for sure!
